Probably a stupid question, but here goes. Can someone tell me what the score is with 02 3G? I've just received my new K800i as an upgrade. With the phone came a 3G SIM which I've registered in order to keep my existing number. Will all my communication now be done on the 3G network (i.e. voice, text and data)? In the absence of a 3G signal, will the phone revert to the 2G network?

Everything is as it was with the new SIM. I've sent and received texts, installed and used Opera Mini, sent an MMS etc. To be honest, I've not noticed any performance increase. Should I?

Is there anything on the K800i display to advise which network you are connected to?

Next to the standerd signal meter, there is a white square with blue wavey lines in it if you have a 3G signal.

Thanks guys. I should have waited until I'd got home and read the manual, or looked at the online one!

For anyone else that wants to know what the 3G icon looks like....
