@Rockygali
I know that installing Widcomm stack isn't very simple. Cause you have to edit the btwusb.inf in order to work with your bluetooth dongle, than you have to patch those 4 files... and thaaaan you install, and its not fast
did you suceed so?
I think you did cause you're able to go further...
so I think you're almost there.
assuming you had succed installing wicdomm stack, and were able to start PAN
Tell me you followed these steps:
go to "My Bluetooth Places"
than -> "show my bluetooth services"
than ->
I know you may have it in english, but the position is the same
THERE is the place you have to share... by selecting the option "allow other devices to access internet/LAN thru this computer"
AND NOT at the "Network connection" place from windows...
here
1 - My PPPoE ADSL connection
2 - the Bluetooth Network connection [created by widcomm install]
3 - My ethernet adapter connection [LAN]
So, at 2, you DON'T SHARE!!!
its here you share
After this, you have to share 1 with 2
your PPPoE with your BT network
or
Bridge LAN+PAN [this didn't worked for me.. had to share adsl with bt network]
than
On your k800, turn BT on, go My devices, add your PC, connect to it.
Than a new data account should have appeared under setting >> connectivity >> data comm >> data accounts >> * [your pc name]
go back, and create a new internet profile, just pick a name and select connect using >> * [you pc name]
and thats it
now start the build in browser!
make sure to click the balloom that pops up [at your pc] when you do this, and allow the connection
there you go =]
P.S.
Sorry taking so long... but I'm kinda having some problems with my girl... and arguing with woman takes time... hahaha
hope it helps!
otherwise just tell whre you stuck and lets try to solve it

You cant do this with the windows stack man...
check the link I've posted to Rocky... you must install Widcomm stack
@Rocky
what version did you get to work?
cause I had the 5.1.0.1700 and that didn't worked
so I went www.isohunt.com, searched Widcomm and downloaded the 5.0.1.801
and the patcher v2 do work for all widcomm versions =]
@shyam335
try accessing the net thru your phone.. don't try to start the service on your pc.
When you start on your pc you're doing it the way around... the PC using the Phone Internet
what we did here was accessing the PC net with your phone.
If you followed the steps, you don't have to launch any service in your pc to get access

ok,i managed to find my mistakes,but the problem now is,
I have a bt internet profile,just as u said,with a bt icon at the side of it..
I have configured my default internet profile to access through it..
I have given access to phone to LAN/internet in widcomm as you mentioned earlier..
but when i goto the browser and click a book mark,the loading sign appears for a second and disappears,Nothing is happening in bt icon.
That means its not connecting to pc?
also what is your pan network's ip?

Did you share your Broadband ore bridged LAN + PAN ?
If you have shared your broadband connection with your BT Network connection, windows will automatically set bt network to 192.168.0.1 |

Yes,i shared my internet connection (ICS)..
How do i get rid of those prompts with widcomm,every time i need to connect it asks for passkey...
Ok,now i think ,i have progressed one more step,now the widcomm asks to confirm the network access when i try to access a site from internal browser,but still loading sign appears and it does not connect to internet....

Are you under a firewall?
Try bridging to see what happens =]

No im not under firewall,what happens is first phone try to connect with pc and asks for passkey in pc and then in phone.
Then a network access prompt comes up,but when i click to allow,it asks to pair again.
I think this is where the problem lies..
and when i pair again,phone says adding and continues the screen indefinitely.
I have to restart the phone to go back.
or if i dont add it just goes back and doesn't connect..
So is there any way to stop those annoying prompts every time?

Your welcome budy!
yes you can use the update service in your phone.. but I think it's safer to do so with the SEUS program
I've updated my phone trhu SEUS, and everything worked just fine..
I think its more stable.. cause a BT connection may disconnect while the update... and that is not safe!!
@shyam335
strange this you are telling... seems that your PC isn't recording your phone...
did you try adding your phone under the menu "Add a bluetooth device" at My bluetooth places?
There you're prompt to set a pass key, than click agroup... than just follow what it says.
I think there must be an option to set remember the phone.. but I haven't set nothing like this... just added my phone at the "add bluetooth device", set the passkey, agrouped
and it never asked me to pair again
Anyway I'm taking a look here to see if I find anything related.. then I'll post

pair the phones before you try the network access. Also go into the authorisation tab andclick the "network access" box.

@pedrops
sorry for the very late reply.. i have installed widcomm 5.1 coz 5.0 the patch didnt work.. it sez Zero (0) bytes patched... blah blah blah..
but when i used 5.1 the patch automatically worked.
the weird thing is.. i dont have Connection (1) like yours, all i have is 2 and 3. i dont have WAN or whatever.
:: EDIT ::
I think i found the key to this mishap... did i say im on a LAN.. and not having control with my router/modem.

connection might have an odd number depending.
Mine is "Local Area Network 3" bridged with "Bluetooth Network".
Important thing is the "LAN" connection you use should be the one that connects your computer to your router.

yep thats it... its my LAN that connects to the DSL.
all in all i only have 2 connections
1.) My LAN that is connected to the DSL
2.) Bluetooth LAN (powered by PAN)
and if i make a bridge that would be my 3rd connection.
so wots in store for me now?!

once you have that bridge, make sure you can still use the internet! If you can, then go to phone and open the browser, what happens?
If nothing happens, ensure pairing is still good and make sure both computer and phone have "always allow" authority for eachother.
I'm a bit behind in this thread, can you step me through what you are doing start to finish?

actually when i bridge the connections, my LAN is automatically set to 192.168.0.1
and unfortunately i cannot connect to the internet... i have a feeling that sounded like a bad news... isnt it?!
the steps that i went thru, well i have followed yours, every bit of it... then installed widcomm drivers given the link of pedrops.
right now... this whole thing is about to tick me off...
