Get Rid of hissing noise |

I used modded acoustic file "handset_0_call", and my ear speaker volume is excellent. But my phone just have to be sent for service due to noise created together with call sound during phone call, and SE service station had to replace my ear speaker.
Does modded handset_0_call damage ear speaker due to loud sound?
Has somebody got same problem?

Until now, sorry guyz, what i saw was: No real Improvements of Hissing soound Reduction, Bass quality and Bass Loundness
Loudness in general: yes, but for what when u can use megabass with that level?
Dont tell me that u got really excellent sound quality after using those drivers |

Thanks to Mongoose3800 and Aksd for their wonderful work.
The hiss has not been completely removed but it is heaps better.
I can hear no difference between Mong's and AKSD's so I'm not sure I can really recommend one over the other. (What are the differences that make each decide theirs is better???)
Just on my experience for using FAR, I found this forum helped me solve a few issues I had in getting my phone detected by FAR...

Hi everybody,
Many, many thanks to aksd and Mongoose3800
One, year ago, I bought a w800i, just because of the "Walkman" brand.
I got a bad suprise when I started listening my mp3s... The sound was hissing and, even worse, cracking at low volume (like a speaker out of order).
2 times, I sent the phone to the technical center, explaining what was the problem. They did nothing.
I started complaining to the SE customers service 6 monthes ago...They said my request was transfered to the management...I'm still waiting for an answer
I was about to write them a last flame, and to post here what I think about SE customers service
...and I discovered this thread
Guys, you make me feel less stupid, my Walkman is not useless anymore.
Like galahs, I'm not able to choose between askd and Mongoose3800 loudV2 drivers (low driver is too low and I don't ear less hissing)
I only notice hissing sound when I stop playing music, but it's really, really low. As soon as you start playing music, it's very hard to ear anything even on cool music.
And the cracking sound has gone at low volume, now the music is clear
Once again, Thank you for the time you spended on your hex editor,
to achieve these drivers. You save my life
And shame on SE support
Best regards,
Laurent
P.S.

chestervn, this is a mp3-phone, don't expect "excellent sound quality". I'm a HiFi lover and I can tell you that the sound from my W800I is far from the original CD sound.
But that's not the point. If you got the hissing/cracking sound (especially the cracking sound of old speaker at low volume), these drivers are huge improvement, now the sound is clear. (and there is hissing reduction, even if it isn't totally gone)
Of course, if you don't get these problems before, you may be a little bit disapointed, but believe me, if you do, it changes the life |

Just out of curiosity, has anyone sent this solution to Sony Erickson?
At least then they could direct people to a solution and at the same time save face on their prized Walkman reputation. |

Do you really think SE ignores sites like esato.com or forums.se-nse.net...
SE sells more than 40 million units/year. I donīt know how many k750/w800, maybe 1 million.
Look at the number of downloads for these drivers, around 1200...
IMHO, they just donīt care about 0.1% people. The Walkman reputation is saved

Well I would have actually preferred it if they decided to add the solution found here to their next firmware update (not that its likely to occur).
I'm still wonderring. Whats the main difference between Mongoose3800's patch and Aksd's modified w900i file? |

If your talking the head phones, either mongoose3800 loudV2 or Askd's file found on the first page of this forum is best (Final Beta) |

Can anybody please upload PHF_2_play.apf.LOUDV2 to another upload service. Ive tried rapidshare 3 times and all I keep getting from those idiots in a javascript message is "Download-Ticket nicht bereit. JavaScript Fehler?". Im not using any rapidshare tricks and rapid usualy works.
Thanks.
