These people = scammers/people pretending to be who they are not/people who have no intention of paying for the goods.

Just seen it happen again! The place must be plagued with it. It's a bit cruel though isn't it. Sounds like someone is having a right old laugh snuffing out the auctions lilke that. |

I have one word: Escrow
I use it for any item over $200, and that includes most unlocked phones. I've used it a few times before, there is a small charge, but I'm perfectly willing to pay a few extra dollars to make SURE I get my item. But it isn't ALWAYS just a few dollars, they ask for a $25 minimum, meaning if your item was $150, you'd have to pay $25 just to "secure" it. Most of the times when Escrow is involved, the buyer and seller will split the Escrow fee.

P.S. I've felt the wrath of eBay. I was young and naive, too young. Anyways, I bought a $1,500 computer, seller didn't ship, threatened legal action, money came in next week. I still used legal action, though.

Same Happened to me when I sold a Breitling Watch
But never had timewasters so to speak bid on my auctions. But i've stopped selling on ebay, If I have anything to sell I put it up here or sell privately... Rather get less money than have my time wasted.

this just happened to me too. I sold a PS2 slim and 2 games for 800 USD. the buyer is form nigeria. they keep emailing me becuase i asked them if they are legit. (of course they said yet), but they have some really good fake paypal emails too. they really can trick someone easily. |
