Wouldn't say it was possible since the new Walkman player seems to maybe require the newer 'soon to come' phone's software and abilities... Plus I doubt Sony Ericsson would ever allow it.

As it is part of the phones firmware it would require to integrate the Walkman 2 part into the firmware of the older walkman phones. I cant see that would ever do it.

Yeah...
Since SE would want people to buy the new Walkman phones in order to use the new Walkman Player...

All part of a grand marketing ploy...
OR they could just ask people to pay for the upgrade. Just to please everybody!

problem is, if you could just pay for the walkman player upgrade, SE might not sell the new phones as much as they would've liked since people might find out that its cheaper to buy an older walkman phone and buy the new walkman player upgrade than to buy a new walkman phone with it already on.

It could be good if they perhaps just made it available for the likes of the K800 and co. - a new phone, with crippled Walkman abilities. |

I think it is possible but not officially, maybe those "daredevil" guys might be able to change that part of the software rewriting the firmware or something like that and maybe help the rest whoo want to do it. |
