Yes,you can make a pata an external,in fact i have one. Never tried with sata.and btw,everyone is selling maxtor drives at spectacular prices these days ;-) . Wondered why?

Nice find mate..pitty just bought one 2 months ago I rate maxtor, good HDs. Might buy one of these and hook it up the the ps2 Gotta get some work outta the way then we'll see

not sure bout an xbox but have a rough idea of a ps2. Well as far as I know you can do it with a slim one and the old big ones. The slim one if via usb but dunno much bout it cause i got a fat one Well for the old ones you need a ps2 network adapter which enables the HD to slot in and you can put it in the expansion bay simple as. but you gotta make sure its compatibe etc.

Id probably buy one to back up all my games onto it. You get softwares and stuff that let you backup ur ps2 games directly onto the HD so you can play straight from it
