i have heard of this before, im not sure. i do think there is somewhere that all of our files go after the recycling bin and all that though. |

yes its true whne you delete files you dont always delte them. windows can keep them hidden also they can be left on the surface of the hard disk and using expesive equipment they can be retrieved . several peado groups have been caught like this.

Dunno bout these 'secret' folders...but its true that it can be retrieved from your hard disk after permanent deletion. If your HD is damaged then expensive technology is used to recover it, but if you've deleted it by mistake or even formatted it, there are programs available for you to recover your files, maybe not all of em. Still....secret folders...some freaky sh...

If you are conerned about 'delete' that is used to simply delete a file,what it does is a merely unmarks the cluster in the harddisk (or remove it from the index) where that file was occupied. So,it says that the space is free,so that new data can be written.
Actually,the file is physically still there,it only appears to us that its deleted or isnt there,but you cannot find that using ordinary methods,so we use some kind of simple file recovery program.Use a file recovery program and you'll understand what i say.
The data is only physically removed only when its overwritten(that is,in hdd,where the data was stored ,another data took the place in the same clusters as our orginal data) , but still there are methods to find the original data from simple overwritings.but its very advanced.
and further most programs use cache's and temp files (and not to mention page file/swap) while they work with the required data.So its copied to cache or temp folder's,after that it 'delete' the files,leaving multiple copies of data,in different locations of HDD,which is very much better if someone is looking for some particular data.
