Walkman is still being rolled out, though I am surprised to see no more Cybershot or imaging. Now that Walkman is the No 1 music phone, I would have thought SE would be peddling Cybershot big time in 2006.

 was hoping for something along the lines of a K800 with better video quality...
It's gna b so gay if they don't announce a phone with good video and a 3.2 cam before i go and get my upgrade to a k800...i will be so pissed off if i have to get the k800...coz i know that within 6 months they will have released a 3.2 with good video

There are a number of prototypes in development, many of which have been discussed (and shown) on forums like this.
I have it on good authority that there will be only three new products at the Da Vinci Code event (and I am fortunate enough to be one of those going along).
I don't know if all three will be 'killer' phones, or if they'll have one big announcement and two lesser ones. I say this because it seems SE are intending to have lots of announcements this year, so they may well want to hold things back for the summer/autumn.

I wonder is the 3g walkman slider will have as good as video capture as the w900 has or at least better than the k800. I would have though they would release a 3mp walkman phone. |

Hopefully it only copies the design from the outside and not the inside! Get rid of the external antennae and replace the horrible buttons.

Sounds like the Z123 although I really don't see the 'thinness' Still looks as though it's a minimum 22mm thick. Is that SE's version of RAZR 'thin'?

I'm guessing Cyndi will be a slider version of the w900, with large screen and hopefully camera spec at least as high.
In another thread, not so far away, its rumoured that it will have a screen that swivels to panoramic mode. It'll be interesting as I think  needs a handset with a bit of the ol' 'wow factor'.

Well thin is in so I guess one of them will be razr influenced. The last thin one was the K610 but even that is bloated compared to some other phones out there.

I am going to be so dissapointed if they don't bring out that...'perfect phone' that you are anticipating them to bring out...
Like many, i was devastated when se released info of the k800...i mean yeh, its a good phone, but before the launch i generally thought it was going to be 'THAT PHONE' the one you dream about...
3.2mp, 512mb card included, great video ...the list goes on...
But the fact is, they screwed it up by making the video shit and a low memory capacity...
PLEASE BRING OUT A 3.2 WALKMAN PHONE...with better video and a 512 M2...

Does that really make a serious difference? I ask this because at the Nokia N93/73/72 launch, they had a guy from Carl Zeiss spend 30 minutes explaining why the jump from 2 to 3 and 3 to 4 megapixels was pretty much a con - and playing the numbers game (as demonstrated by the mainstream camera industry).
He then went on to explain about the pixels, and the fact that to double the quality of a camera you need to double both X and Y resolution - which means QUADRUPLING the pixels. Therefore to get a serious improvement on 2 megapixel, you jump to 8.
Of course, he's speaking about the importance of the sensor (sensitivity/noise and lack of colour bleed) and the lens (which they're responsible for), but it does explain why the K750i takes better pictures than a Sharp 903, despite lacking 1.2 million pixels. It might also explain why the cheaper set up in the W700 and K610 is nowhere near as good as the K750/W900/W800/W810 even though the only thing consumers can see it lacking is the autofocus.

Thanks for that info on the megapixels, it was interesting and helps clear things up alot.
I don't really see the need for 4,5, and 6 megapixels like say, I was suspecting it was a numbers game and no-one can really complain about the quality of the pics coming from a K750.
It will be interesting to see a comparison with the K800s snaps though. 
Anyway, still no sneak preview pics of these upcoming phones!!!!

There doesn't seem to be anything unusual about the screen as rumoured.
The joypad looks interesing, not exactly a joypad but a collection of buttons.
The chamfered edges will make it feel like a k700i.
