Samsung announces the "world's thinnest" mobile phone . the SGH-X820 Ultra Slim Phone, the candybar handset is a mere 6.9mm (0.27-inches) thick, the same thickness as the iPod nano. When will they stop making thinner and thinner phones , eventually they're gonna snap !

Samsung Electronics showcases 6.9mm slim SGH-X820, or Ultra Slim Phone from May 10-13 at Sviaz ExpoComm 2006 in Russia.
X820 is a bar type phone with a 2 megapixel camera, camcorder, MP3 player, Bluetooth connectivity, file viewer and TV out. The slim phone will be released in Europe including Russia in this week and China in June.

I'm not a huge Samsung fan, but credit to them for somehow squeezing some decent features in there as well. |

Haha... I'd like to be able to feel my phone you know. At least I know it's still in my pocket. One of these days, they're gonna make mobile phones so small that they'll just fall out through the seam in your pockets. Heh...

I think Samsung are getting excessive with the amount of 'thin' phones. Sure thin is nice, but too thin and your hand'll cramp from txting too much IMO perfect thickness is 13-15mm, at least the phone doesn't feel like a wafer stick!

anyone got any specs for this phone?
i'd love to look at how well it can use these features... but surely the 2mp camera, although 2mp won't be as good as other 'thicker' phones with a 2mp camera???
