hi all! my son aged twelve broke his wrist and had to have it pinned tomorrow (monday)he is having the pins removed they have given him a choice of going to theatre or taking them out with no anasthetic have any of you guys been thru this and can offer any help and advice i would be very grateful Thanks in advance

oooh ouch

even as much older than your son, i'd get put to sleep first mate, and i'm sure others would say the same. with him being quite young it might be even more scary for him, and i'm just not sure i'd let him go through any pain like that ok. has the doctor said how painful it will be without?

thanks xug the doc just said it would sting a bit and the majority had pins removed whilst awake my boy doesn't want to go to theatre i think i'm more worried than he is i'll ask some more questions in the morning. thanks again
