Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has been travelling to thailand at all? I am going this summer with my girlfriend (for 5 weeks) and basically we're after some tips and places to go..... ive been surfing the web for stuff for over a month now and ive found lots of different things, but i feel you cant beat the advsie of soemone whos been.... our basic plan is to spend 1-2 weeks in bangkok/up north of thailand (mounatins etc) then get our pale white butt's down to the south and go around the islands...

Dont know if anyone has any ideas or tips, but i thought if you dont ask, you dont get

Also, were looking into buying our gear (such as rucksacks, sandles etc....) anyone know somewhere good to buy this from?

Thanks all,

Lee

buying my final bits and bobs...

Was wondering of any good books?

@axxxr,

would probably appreciate a lil advise from you here matey... especially regarding 9/11 etc.... i need something to get me hooked as i really find reading boring generally

also, anyone been to a full moon party? ....in thailand.....

cheeers!

whooopsy! forgot something... also does any of you legends know the best way to get form the north (chang mai) to the south (trang).. a flight is just over £100 but im getting a train (first class from bangkok to chang mai for £20) so im thinking a train would be better also i will get a chance to sleep then

Right, im leaving tomorrow, so i will save the good bye for then

Can anyone help me out on one or two things?

1) I have a Nokia 6030 and was wondering if it would work in thailand - Network - 900/1800 (not gonna take my w810i as im sure i'll bust teh lil begger..... although im tempted (anyone know if its insured under teh orange care policy?)

2) how much are wap charges roughly? gonna be using either the nokia of w810i on wap (never really bothered in teh past)...

Thanks all, getting stupidly excited right now.....

No problem.
If you are still after a book to read, I can recommend Long Way Round, which is the book to the documentry made by ewan mcgregor and charley boorman, very good read.
