Non mobile items may again be advertised, BUT with rules |

We are please to announce the relaxation of the rules so that once again non mobile related items can be advertised
However, there are a few simple rules we'd appreciate being followed...
Where to post non mobile related items
1. Adverts for non mobile related items should be posted in the Non mobile discussion forum.
- This will allow true mobile related sales to not be bumped down by non mobile items.
Maximum value of items
2. The maximum value of individual items being advertised should be no more than is £500/€750/US$900/php45000 or equivalent in other currencies.
- This will stop people selling cars / tractors etc as before
NOTE: This is the maximum value of the item, not its starting price
Who can post adverts for non mobile related items?
3. Members posting non mobile phone related items must have been an Esato member for at least 3 months.
- This will stop people signing up to just to sell stuff here
Any items posted in the wrong forum, with a higher value, or by members of less than 3 months will be removed
Please don't flood the non mobile discussion forum with items for sale. Instead, wherever possible if you have multiple items to sell at the same time, please use a single thread
We hope this eases some tension and brings some happiness and good deals as I know that many of you do have some good bargains for Esato members, but lets please also respect this change lest the mobile items only rules be reapplied!
enjoy!

That is a great idea. The rules sound very fair to me.

Thats great news for our sellers community.
I've been never a seller but i guess this will make some people happy.
The three month rule is an excellent idea!

great news and very glad to see this back
without wanting to annoy the powers that be here at Esato - don't you think it might be better to have a new section for "Non mobile related sales" this will stop any of the other forum areas being 'clogged' up with for sale threads. Then the market section would be structured as follows:
Accessories for sale
Accessories wanted
Mobile phones for sale
Mobile phones wanted
Non mobile related for sale
Non mobile related wanted
Just might make it simpler and easier to find what you're looking for. Anyway it is just an idea and i am very happy to be allowed to post non mbile items again no matter where on the forum it is cheers to laffen and all the mods!

Indeed. I actually agrew with Welsh Tom here..
A seperate forum for sale of non-mobile related stuff could have been better.
But laffen might have some reason for chosing to keep all non mobile sales in the MF Free zone...(I still prefer calling it by that name!)

agreed, but this is only a temporary measure until a planned revamp of the market area comes available, hopefully later this year
for now though, this is better than nothing I guess. however laffen will see your post and may consider creating a new forum as suggested if the new functionality is delayed
perhaps we should first see how successful this retry at non mobile related items goes?

Very good idea, well thought out rules. As Welshtom says, in the future it may be good to have a dedicated section for non-mobile markets, as the non-mobile thread may be overrun with selling and LF: threads, pushing all the good stuff in non-mobile way down and out of sight.

@welsh and whiz, nah... i dont think that it is.... it will definitely reorganise the forum, but then the forum will be too comercialised instead of the friendly feel... MPFZ still remains the same and the move by laffen is a great one...

@masseur
I'm saddened and apalled that tractors cannot be sold on Esato. It's a pretty pass when farm machinery cannot be sold on a mobile phone forum!
