Can anybody help, I know how to use my own sounds for Ringtones as they are in the Windos/Ringers folder, but I have no idea how to use my own message alerts, there are only a couple of default ones which are all crap.
Cany anybody help.
Thanks.

ringtones can be mp3 or wav but I believe that notifications need to be wav only and like ringtones, need to be placed into the windows folder
to set the sound...
start - settings - (personal tab) sounds and notifications - (notifications tab) - pick the event and choose the sound
(but you probably knew that last bit)

Cheer Masseur, by windows folder, is that the Windows main directory or the Windows/Rings folder where the ringtones go.
I will try it out, I only have mp3 tones on there which is probably why they were never listed.
Cheers.
