K750i Software Problem? (PH) |

Have you ever gone to Se_ic_n only to be told that your phone is beyond repair?
I had a problem with my K750i 2days ago. It just started dropping calls and restarting everytime I try to access some menus. I couldnt text or call, hell I couldnt even set the time. I thought to myself that if SE service centers couldnt do it then its hopeless.
This afternoon I went to greenhills hoping that someone would accept the k750 for a trade-in. Then a tiangero asked me what I needed, medyo nahiya ako i-alok yung phone kasi nga sira, so instead of trading it in I ended up inquiring if they could fix it.
They explained to me why SE doesnt do flashing etc. They reassured me that the phone wouldnt die and that even if it did, he could revive it. What really convinced me was when I inquired about the SW he was going to use. "Cruiser" the rest was history.
Now my phone is still running on the same r1n005, but this time without the bugs. everything is working perfectly. He told me to observe the unit and if Im not satisfied, He'll upgrade it to the w800 sw. He does that too and has done it already several times. yun nga lang it takes 2hours for that.
So there's still hope for your K750. Here's his number incase anybody needs help:) 09278675227 his name is dave. Tell him joseph refered you. he charges 600 for that. it's a hundred higher than SE but it's worth-it!

you can try http://www.davinciteam.com to do those cruizer are doing... cheaper pa.
btw, k750 converting to w800 is just around 10mins

hiya! just went to dave at GH and told him about my phone's problem (nawawalang sound ng speakerphone at kapag nadiinan, nagkakaroon), where semicon told that there's nothing they can do, told me to go to SE Glorietta, and gusess what, dave's companion just hotwired my unit adn presto! i can now use my speakerphone  an in just below 30 minutes. thanks man ! |

happened to my K700 not so long ago, was fixed in GH too. i did plug the guy around here but i opted not to post his number in a public forum, and just PM the number to those interested. i suggest you do the same, your guy might misinterpret your actions.
where's his stall btw? dun ba 'to sa bridgeway shops? yung mga nasa main area kasi nagpapalit ng locations every month or so, ang hirap hagilapin  |

I'm glad I was able to help you out. Natuwa lang talaga ko kasi naayos yung phone ko. So I'm sharing this to people like me who own grey units who were turned down by SE suppot centers. kulang ba ng "r"?

Dont worry, ok lang sa kanya kasi free plugging daw yun. and he would be glad to help out those na nasiraan na ng loob after going to SemiBeyondRepairCon.
RE SE,
If you were an SE tech, would you go through the trouble of repairing a phone when you can just sign a form saying that the unit is "Beyond Repair" and has to be replaced. All you gotta do is justify it and voila! you can go back to surfing the net and sit on your lazy a_s the whole day, and still get paid the same amount. Anyway, it's not you who's gonna shoulder the expenses right.

I'm not comparing Cruiser to Davinci. Basta happy ako that my phone is ok now and wont be used as paperweight anymore. I'm just trying to give average people like me who dont know tech stuff the chance to have their phones fixed. malay mo, with the bug rate of SE firmwares makakuha pa tayo ng discount dun basta esato forumer. And please bear in mind na hindi lahat ng nasa esato meron pambili ng brandnew na authentic SE phones w/ matching "Beyond Repair Warranty". Some of us get it from the grey market.
Yung convertion naman from K750i-w800 @ 2hrs is just an approximate. Kasi he still has to reprogram my phone and make it red instead of brown. Then start all over again. I'm not to technical so I'm just taking it from him.

I know that SEUS is free and it's the best and first step to an upgrade. pero, some of us here have units that SEUS doenst recognize. like mine which in the first place is asian pero brown and using a EU version SW. Tried it 4 times and all I got was "You already have the latest Firmware".
What's up with that? pano magiging latest e R1n005 aka "TEST SOFTWARE for K750"? Plus I could barely use the phone kasi nga restart ng restart. Malay ko ba kung ano mangyayari pag naghang to during upgrade. I dont need a 15k paper weight. I've been searching esato since this phone went crazy and most posters have said that their phones died after trying to upgrade their faulty unit with SEUS. At least yung kanila meron warrant pwede palitan.

asus... criuzer is giving out brown files..
you shld ask for RED version na Asian (apac) so you can update using seus next time.. now naka tali ka pa sa kanya kasi brown binigay syo
ac, di tatangapin ng seus ang euro version... dapat red file and apac
re SE srv ctrs... they cannot do anything about your unit, kasi limited yung function ng client nila... if you bring your unit to them they will try to plug to their computer minsan nisisira ng client nila... its like flashing using seus too.
on their experiences, nasisira talaga ng client yung phones lalo na mga euro version na walang warranty.
w/ criuzer, setools, tms, dvt.. they can revive dead phone, they can upgrade brown files and change to red file. they cant interchange fw.
ang ok sa dvt, it can use dss25, miniusb to flash...
ang ok sa criuzer, setools, terminator... you can flash up to 1,000,000 phones .. just buy the units at around P20,000 each
now, unahan lang sila sa pag labas ng bagong fw na pwede mag unlock ng cid49 phones

Yup sir, ganun nga, actually thats what he told me re the brown and red thing. I kinda liked the EU multi-character search function. that's why I chose to remain brown. But I am still thinking of having it converted to a w8. Libre naman daw, and my primary concern that day was to revive my almost useless phone. Any problems encountered by phone owners who have done this?
Does the w8 fw support this multi-character search function? I really find it very handy and there's less stress on the joystick.
Thanks in advance for answering my questions. It's really nice to see that all time greats of the esato ph forum are still very much active and still helping out non tech inclined people like me:) more power sir:) |

Siguro takot sila sa backdraft.... like kung sisihin sila kung ano mangyayari sa phone... stuff like that.. especially if the unit is out of their warranty.
mine was with SE glorietta. first time i stepped into that showroom. they immediately told me that it was board problem. well thats what theyve fuond out tho... the prob with my K750 was a diferent driver from the FW. (this was before i knew davinciteam).
nung maayos ko via davinciteam.com binalikan ko ung taga SE G3 saka ung nilapitan ko sa greenhills na nde kayang ayusin ung phone before... pinamukha ko sa kanila na kaya kong ayusin...

Either they're to lazy or they dont know how to. That's my assumption.
For crying out loud, they're SE. everything that has to do with SE they should have. It's like going to Toyota and them telling you to buy a new transmission when the only thing w/ your car is the clutch disk.
