Just got a green one myself. Checking out all the bells and whistles right now. The polyphonic melodies are dazzling and there are polyphonic soundeffects in the games as well....

There are a lot more free games to download if you got your GPRS settings right, try wap.sonyericsson.com or just select "New Games" in the Games menu. A small thumbnail shows you a screenshot of the game and then start the download by pressing Yes.

There are some platform games a la Mario Bros concept, Deep Abyss and Honey Cave. Haven't passed the first level yet..Ice Digger looks like pac-man but the hero is supposed to use explosives to get gold coins and to be able to get out of the maze in time (done 3 levels). There are more games but these are the ones I've tried..

I just got the green one also. I was lucky. Some customers who preordered hadn't confirmed their orders so I got one of theirs directly at the store! If I hadn't the whole first batch was already preordered. GEAB in Sweden had an allocation of 1000 phones according to the salespersonel. BTW It seems the first batch is all green. I wanted the blue one when I saw it in pictures but this colour rocks! It looks like black, but if you look closer it's dark emerald glimmering green... I love the Polyphonic sounds, and to me they are not to low since my old Nokia was broken and had very low sound (The "NYC" sound sounds like freakin MTV. My favourite...). I liked the voice memo function. Very easy to use. 12 s of sound was 7Kb BTW. Probably a GSM codec.
And default the free dynamic mem is about 460Kb (with 4 games preinstalled and about 150Kb of themes and sounds preinstalled).

I also added a GPRS service to my contract and will be testing that tomorrow. I'll use it primarily to check my mail on the road. But it *really* sucks that *no* provider in Sweden has MMS. Rumour has it that Vodafone has. True?

First impression is extremely positive! True, my previous phone was last century technology, but this almost blows my mind! It's colour, it's sounds, it's animation, it's games, it's fun. And I actually love the design. I like the angular lines, the build quality seems good, and I like the prodtruding(spelling?) SE Logo on the back.

It will also be interesting to see if I can get this phone to connect my Palm IIIx to the net?

Swedes: Is the Communicam MCA-10 worth 600Skr? The dealer had a batch of them on sale. Since MCA-25 will be around 2000Skr maybe the MCA-10 will hold me over until I upgrade to the P800?! Any thoughts?

to all T300 owners... how's the menu, Inbox access & SMS typing speeds? I still find the T68i real slow... specially when typing SMS or accessing my Inbox.

Would be interesting to know why the T300 can be found in the "product zone" on SonyEricsson.com when the T600 still is in the "comming soon"...??

@ojsph

In Sweden it's about $300 without contract. I got mine with a contract renewal for $150. What the pricing strategy is for USA
I don't know, but it will probably be the same...

BTW. The German bundle with camera for 99 Euro sounds really
good. Is that the MCA-25?

@Epedemic

And the salesperson in the store said that there was *no*
quality difference compared to the MCA-20

I already knew that that was not true. They just want to sell.

its faster then t68, but could be even faster. The sms typing guesses as well and you have to push yes or joy for picking a word.

I've never used T9 before and have a question. Is the wordlist empty in the beginning, ie do you have to fill it yourself? I tried to write some yesterday and all that happened was that every time I pressed a button, a dropdownlist came down with all the chars on that button. No words at all. Do I have to enable T9 or what?

The word list is not empty. It just lacks words like "fuck" etc.

You've to enable T9: "settings" -> "Language" -> "T9 input"
In order to utilise T9 you've to chose the languages you think you will use: "settings" -> "Language" -> "Input".
When you're writing a SMS you can shift between these pre-choised languages by pressing the option key, where you'll find "language".
If you consider the dropdown list annoying, it can be turned off while writing a SMS by pressing the option key and "candidates".
