my k750i take superb pictures in daylight, but in dark areas, it produces images with vertical stripes, even with night mode, light on and with the external flash? does anyone else have this problem and is there a way to solve it. I searched google and the forums and did find one or two threads about this but could not find a solution. my friend who has the same phone does not have this problem. im using the latest R1AA008 firmware and camera software 4.5. Also this does not happen on all images - this is weird...

can you post some samples of these so called vertical stripes on dim environment.

coz on a K750, the vertical stripes is quite normal when shot at dim lit environments.. those with less exposures... but if you try to angle shots with dim environments try to look for help with some lighting... shoot along the lights or perpendicular to it.. not against it...

or if you are really trying hard to shoot in pitch black... try to have flash attachments (MXE-60)... then youll have the ample light you need in a dim environment..

cheers!

Here is a sample - tried uploading the full sized image but it was larger than 800px and got resized - so I have cropped just the top right corner of the image where this is most visible. This is taken with the mxe-60 flash attachment.

yep.. low lit, and or less exposure....

notice the floor.. it doesnt gleem that much... i mean its so very obvious that the room doesnt have enough light to expose the objects clearly.. and even the MXE didnt help at all... well its not a firmware issue... its a photographic issue... you know.. cannot fool lenses...

if you really into it.. (capturing shots in low lit places), try to have help, meaning make other light sources... lamps, cam angles that will go along where the light is shining stuff like that... sorry if dont sound so technical about this... but you know what i mean.

Same problem I had when I just had my W800 for about a month. (My phone shots still has those lines btw, but I stopped worrying about them now . . .)

I agree that not all K750/W800 display those lines. It's more apparent on some phones than others. I learned to live with it though. At least noise filter applications like Noiseware or NoiseNinja can remove those noise lines.

@Rockygali,

I dont think its that much of a photographic issue - my other digital camera also does produce noise at low light levels, but its usually colour noise - this seems to be a patterned noise, which would be related to the hardware itself and not the conditions. but at least I know this is not an isolated case - i'll have to live with it with some help from my friend - photoshop!

Try getting some noise filtering software. Im afraid the one I use I can’t mention as I have done in the past and it’s got me in trouble, just do a search on Google. It doesn’t completely take them away, but it cleans the picture up nicely and in shots where these lines are weak it can completely take them away.

Good luck with it.
