I've been mixing and matching- and i've surfed the esato forums (to get a range of opinions) for other peeps who have put an orange middle chassis (W800i middle housing) with the K750i covers. And i think people's opinions were mixed- but most said that it would look better with matching orange buttons...

I've managed to put the W800i middle chassis and the matching orange buttons (joystick and memory card cover included) with the K750i black covers. Though i've only got a scanned image of the front (i needa borrow my bro's mem. card to take more pics with the camcorder). This is what i can show you so far:

I particularly like how the orange joystick co-ordinates and accentuates the W800i orange chassis (I'll have to post more of the above later to show the side buttons).

Above is a little extra, i thought i'd put the W800i white covers with the K750i silver middle chassis- some have said it would look wkd & cool like this and asked for pics, but no-one posted any(But it's not actually on the phone- just assembled together hence the lack of the joystick and screen). I don't think it looks good at all- especially because the back camera ring has the orange trim that clashes with the silver chassis

Go on! Post your opinions...

A black w800i! Its great. Personally i don't like w800i because of its colours (orange and white is not my preferred). Nice phone it became!

I've got a W800i identical to that! It's a K750i that's been flashed to a W800i, got the W800i orange chassis, and K750i front and back cover. It looks pretty good and is quite unique too! It still uses the K7's joystick though. However, it does have multicoloured LEDs - well, a multicoloured keymat anyway, looks pretty cool:

I have to admit it wasn't done by me but bought this way! Will take and upload some more pictures when I have time if you like!

wkd. i'm still waiting for that poster that'll say about my phone (or for n e of us wit an orange middle) 'ew! it looks like puke! burn it!' my next aim is to get an orange w800i pcb keypad so that eveything matches a bit more. im shopping rite now (surfing on WAP) and went to bank to put money in to buy the orange keypad on ebay and the ATM has ran out of deposit envolopes! Just my luck... will post more pics later tho.

So what about people's opinion on the W800i covers with the K750i silver chassis/middle housing?

I agree with Bianca. I have done both of these mods. My mate now has his W800 with a K750 front and back, and my dad has his K750 with a W800 front and back. The joysticks were kept as standard to prevent any damage. IMO the white and silver looks better, much better in fact. Also when you change the W800 covers, without changing the joystick it becomes much harder to use, as it is recessed. Whereas the K750 joystick with the W800 covers sticks out more and makes it better.

Very true. Cuz im using the w800i joystick with the K750i covers it is slightly more difficult to control.

Not as much time as you've got mate if you've got so much time to keep posting 'you people have so much time on ur hands', 'you people still have so much time on ure hands'

i'm sorry but i have to disagree about the W800 housing with the silver chassis... because, currently, my hybrid is in that combination, and i really like it. I have the D750 housing, the K750 housing, and the W800 housing, all to make my hybrids with, and i've been experimenting... so far i'm using W800 front and back, K750 middle, K750 joystick... and i made my backlights pink...

i do however, want to put the W800 volume keys, and music button and maybe memory stick door on the silver chassis. i think that might look cool. haven't tried it yet though...
