I don't think this has been talked about yet here, so thought i'd bring it up.

How many of you would donate organs either after your death or if somebody needed it? And does anybody here carry a donor card?

i dont carry a donor card, and while i would like to think that some part of me could help someones in the future, im not sure that any of my major organs would be any use after all the abuse ive put them through over the years

I was just wondering as I saw it when I had to fill out my driver's licsense application. I'm not sure I would become a full organ doner, but if a family member/friend would be in need of something, I doubt i'd hesitate to offer.

I think I've registered as an organ donor. I won't have any need of my organs after death, they might as well cannibalise me for spares, just like I've done with a few phones in the past!

Might sound a bit selfish but, what's mine is mine and what's yours is yours. Unless in some way I am found that my view changes under certain circumstances then I will become one.

I would give my whole body, if it is, for those who are important for me. When i die, maybe i ll let it use for experiences. What for me count are thoughts and my soul, that cannot be taken anyway.

I do carry a doner card and have no problems with having my organs go to someone in desperate need of them, after all its not something easily available or which you can pick up on ebay...besides when your dead your dead, and your body is just another piece of meat,so at least your bits can live on in someone else even even if your dead. If it was someone really close, such as immediete family or a close friend then i would be prepared to risk my own life and donate my organs to save them yes. [addsig]

I have carried a (as it was then) kidney donor card for over 20 years. I carry a full donor card now and I was discussing with my next-of-kin only this week my permission and desire to donate for face transplant, should I be suitable. When I'm gone I'm gone and they can have any of me that might be of benefit to anyone else.

I'm also on the bone marrow donor list and I have donated over 100 units of blood.
