It can't be done. this is fisically speaking. I mean the joystick, walkman and activity button etc.

no unfortunately. the only improvements you will see are those that SE makes in any future versions of the w800i firmware it releases. But don't hold out for too much as any changes are likely to be minor and stability/compatability based. SE focus will now be on the new models it will release early this summer.
