Turning off 3G is an option in R5BC004.

Anyone knows the CDA and revision number for W900i Generic Hong Kong firmware? About to flash my UK W900I to Hong Kong firmware. Thanks. |

Hi everyone, i've got a w900i debranded from vodafone to R5BB001 using davinciteam*.
Because of the battery drain from 3G i'd really love to update to R5BC004, and disable the 3G.
But when i use the SEUS it tells me i already have the latest software installed (so no updates are available). This happens whether using SEUS directly from the phone's menus or the PC based version.
I see that several people in this thread say they've upgraded to R5BC004. Could one of them please give me a step-by-step of how to do this?
I should perhaps mention that i'm in the UK.
Any help with this would be much appreciated, cheers!
*Btw, i tried the totalmultiserver upgrade first, but it would not install properly. |

i take it that Vodafone versions do not have the updating service on the phone itself? I cannot see it anywhere under settings as mentioned. Had to update via SEUS. That sux! |

The Vodafone version i had installed before i debranded it may have been able to update using SEUS on a PC, but definitely didn't have an update feature in the phone menu.
I'm assuming you've updated to R5BC004 via SEUS... Try as i might i can't do that - what am i missing? |

i can update my vodafone branded via seus to latest firmware...
when u debranded ur vodafone, ur cda may changed as well.. if seus doesnt recognised/match the cda, firmware and imei in their database, then urs phone cant be updated thru seus.. correct me if i am wrong |

Hi youngkies, thanks for the response. I wasn't aware of that at all. Do you happen to know what the appropriate CDA would be, or where I could find that out?
I'm using CDA102337/1 - EMEA1 at the moment.
