Hi everyone,

I have a K750i which was purchased last March, about a month ago the top keypad light (which covers the navigation button, the 3 keys below the screen and the back button and C button) stays on instead of going off when the bottom and screen does.

At first I hoped this might be a firmware issue, but I dont believe it is because the light remains on permanently, even when the phone is switched off, the only thing that stops it is to remove the battery. This obviously has a significant hit on battery time.

Has anyone experienced similar? Is there a possible solution, could it be something that is shorting the light to be permantly on? Any thoughts, suggestions would be warmly received.

Cheers,
Bill

All of my Keypad lights stay on at all times on my k750i, I think it has something to do with a metal connector which sits beneath the keypad coming out of place. Its my fault as I replaced the housing and I lost the connector. Unless you've done the same, it will be covered as the phone is still under the manufacturers 12 month warranty. Just return the phone to where it was bought or any reputable dealer(eg. Carphone Warehouse) to send it away for repair. Good Luck!

Excellent, many thanks, is it possible to fix this myself, I dont really fancy the hassle of sending it off and waiting if I can fix it.

Buy a new K750i keypad PCB component.
