mind you... its a parrt of a developing technology..
its a trial and error thing.. the more errors the better development...
well i would strongly suggest that you bring your phone to a certified SE shop, theyll help you with it or if its still under warranty theyll replace it.

My photos seem to have lots more noise since I upgraded to this firmware.
Anyone else noticed that? |

caddy, the only people who post on here are the ones that are some what more advanced users than 95% of the userbase out there and they have high demands. These are the people who will notice a glitch and bring it up right away on this forum. |

Yes im totaly agre the camera is no blury and unsharp the camera driver is the same 4.5 but SE has changed the metering metod.
"Center Weighted Average metering used instead of standard Average metering to improve photos in lower level lighting conditions"
I cant get this supersharp fotos that the k750 was able to before.

actually...when i updated my firmware from R1N0035 to the latest i noticed that the noise level's in the picture's went tits up...on the previous firmware the noise level's were minimal...in this latest software it is appalling....i also did my friends phone who had the same previous firmware and updated his to the latest...and his is the same.......when i hd my n70 it never had these issues..yes..there was noise, but nowhere near as bad as the k750i's (with the new firmware)...still at least this one works properly...after five or six previous k750i's..(none of which were bought when it first launched btw-everybody knows about first roundphones)..i suppose i should just be greatful that the bloody thing works...anyways...after a bit of thought, ive decided i'm going to sell it and wait for the n80...so any offer's...

So which firmware has better pictures:
1. R1AA008
2. R1N035
3. R1BC002
4. R1L002
5. R1J002
6. R1A044
7. Some other.
I will get k750 in a few days from Vodafone & i am going to put normal software but i don't know which FW shoud i choose. Some ppl r saying that R1AA008 has better camera pictures then others (same for R1BC002 cuz it's the same camera driver) but other ppl r say that they're pictures with R1AA008 r full of noise (i saw some good pictures with R1AA008 & some really bad in more light conditions). Shoud i take R1N035 cuz of Average metering mode or R1BC002 with Center weighed average.
Help plz |

I'm wondering if the F/W/"prgcxc" version combinded with the camera version has something to do with it? i.e. if you look at the summary information of a Pic in Windows it refers to the creation software as being the phones F/W + PRG CXC125xxxxxxx. This is surely the software that controls the exposure, compress the image and so on. Compression is usually where lines/hashing start to appear in photos. I must say that I do notice vertical lines or grids in any dark areas of a good number of photos I take with my W800. And when I look at other peoples photos or those from review sites I see the same thing. The camera, while good, is really only at its best in full outdoors daylight. But, lets get real here - this is a camera phone - not a full blown digital camera. The lense is tiny and will always struggle to get a good amount of light. The photos it produces have been the top of it's class for the last year or so. However, some of the newer 3MP cameras are now starting to show it up. But none will ever beat a dedicated digital camera with a decent lense. |

I also notice vertical lines in any dark areas of photos I take with my W800i. No problem when taking pictures in good light conditions thus.
I am presently on R1AA008 but the problem was exactly the same with previous firmwares I had: R1L002 & R1A005. |

well R1BC002 has good shots in the dark.. a bit better than the previous ones... but if you would love to elminate thos lines during dark/dim shots try using a Noise Reduction Tool.
