it does not turn your laptop into a mobile phone
it allows you to access vodafones 3g network so you can browse the web and access e-mail anywhere where vodafone has coverage and send text messages
thats it - its worth about £40-50 btw

if you can unlock it i can not try it as i do not have laptop voda will sell 3g sim to you it called pay as you use //// it like pay as u go
