Last night i picked up my phone and it was showing the time screen saver, but was showing 8.05pm instead of 11.20pm anyway thought clocking just needed setting, pressed the 'c' button as a i always do to bring it back to the standby screen and it just flashed bright white. Now whenever i turn it on it just shows a bright white light, even if i put my pin number in it plays the sounds, does the startup vibration and everything but just doesn't show anything on the display. I've tried starting it with no mem stick or sim card, and ive done the sony ericsson update service 3 or 4 times now in case the firmware had gone screwy but still the same - any ideas. I dont think its the firmware cos all the sounds are still working and i can put my pin on my sim in etc... is it just a loose connection??

hmm, if it's under warranty, you probably want to return it for repair straight away. If not under warranty, you'll have to take a peek inside (carefully!) Search esato for links to assembly guides (there are a couple)

Once you get the case open, you'll need to remove the screen and replace it (incase it has a loose connection) and also look around for anything else loose or for foreign matter that may be stuck somewhere it shouldn't be.

Tried my phone this morning and it worked fine!?!

Apparently my wifes k750i does this too but usually works again after a couple of off/on's but mine took 3 days!?!

At least I don't have to send it off now
