Toshiba TS921 USB Cable - Where? |
hamerg Joined: Dec 30, 2005 Posts: 4 PM |
I want a USB cable for my phone! You'd think it would be a simple request, but Vodafone UK are not supplying or selling a USB cable with the Toshiba TS921. Toshiba Europe have a nice picture of it on their website, but they don't sell it either, nor do Expansys, and I haven't found anywhere useful through Googling.
In Japan it appears to be bundled with the phone (902T).
Any ideas??
It looks like this!
The TS921 is a good phone incidentally. Large, but good.

Hi, this phone was launched in Japan and outside at much the same time. Different numbers though... TS921 and Vodafone 902T
Here is the Japanese Voda page, in English.

I can see accessories as a link from this page, but I cannot see the USB cable on the accessory page.
I think the only ways to get one is to telephone one of the Vodafones stores in Tokyo where English support is offered.
or.. ask a friend to call into a Japanese Vodafone store and ask for you... but I know both of these suggetsions might be of no use for you..
Here is the Vodafone 903T by Toshiba

it has Sat Nav too..

Not sure how you tell the difference between the 902T and the 903T, I don't see any fancy navigation features and the rest looks the same to me.

I have a friend that speaks Japanese and I could try calling in English anyway, but I think my next plan is to harass Toshiba Europe's Mobile Division (which is just down the road from me) until they cough one up. I can't believe they wouldn't have some. |

Good luck!
I think there are at least 2 'Engish speaking' Vodafine stores in Tokyo, but forgot the addresses. I guess they are findable from the main Japanese Voda website.
Yes, not much different between the Toshiba models!
Good luck with Toshiba. I did have a lot of chats with them to discover whether the TS921 displayed Japanese! Like the Sharp 902/3 do. And they weren't so helpfull!

Toshiba have awoken from their xmas slumber and directed me to Telecommunication Services Ltd in Hook, Hampshire, who seem to be a resourceful little company and they have a grim website here:

They had it in stock and I've picked it up today. They also have mains and car chargers for the TS921. |
