If am not mistaken... its been 'under devlopment' for long which explains the camera specs.. think it was at CeBit 2005 that they proto typed it 
& beyond 1 MegaP.. its anyway not a big diff to human eye & amatuer photography... not bad.. at all..
Not as bulky as a PDA.. except for the mega pixel issue..
as much competion to K750 or similar phone...
That leaves the availabilty (only branded  ) and pricing !

and now rumoured to be replaced soon by the i300x with a 4GIG HD, already details up on the samsung website, there has been a bit of discussion about this over on modaco forums
