Ok so I've decided to do something with my phone...give it some different color. I tried to do with something conservative, but silver and grey is conservative and elegant enough to be the original color. Didn't wanna mess up the "image" of the phone just make it a little more interesting. Well its still in the process, which menas that I have to wait until the paint comepletely cures , before I make it a little shinier, but here is a little taste, see how you like it.The side buttons arepainted as well, basiacally everything except the back panel cause the little camera slider is not really meant to be taken apart. By the way the colors are Tamiya "pearl white" and Tamiya "racing blue"

you've got guts to spray your cover

Anyway i think the colour combination looks good however the finish doesnt look too nice, sorry mate. Like the side on view it looks a bit 'cheap'. But hey its a good colour change if you are bored of your old one

You should use Tamiya Gloss on top for the perfect finish

yeah definately use gloss. From the front shot, it also looks like the white part could do with another coat as you can see the black through it a little. The gloss will stop it chipping, as it looks like it has down the sides on the white bit. The blue colour looks good though

Ouch ! poor phone you got balls mate ! Nice try but IMHO it doesn't work (sorry). Still if you get fed up with the look you could always buy replacement covers

After getting all the panels glossy I've still decided that that blue has to go...just didn't seem to fit the "image" of the phone. I still like the pearl white though...so that one stays maybe for a little more. By the way I was gutsy about this experiment cause my new cover is on the way...my screen never had a screen protector so it got kinda scratched up. I might get a cover made out of aluminum though...my buddy has a CNC shop, and maybe get that one anodized. Thanks for all the "ouch"-es and the few "ehh ok":-)

I'll tell you all it took a lot longer to remove the blue paint than it did to spray it on...Anyways I don't think the only think was the lack of glossyness on the blue one. It just didn't seem to fit this phone even after being glossy. The pearl white I kept on the front and I do like it. it doesn't have a glossy finish , just kind of like a satin just like the original. Here is a couple of pics. I think it goes pretty well with the silver.
