There is no need to dial for the second account for Airtel Online Subscribers.
Actually, I am posting this message through that free gprs.
Thanks spartan and all for guideing me.

Hmmm... didn't I recommend all to use Opera and configure the proxy server address .

Welcome to the world of FREE GPRS , AlanDS

And by the way ,don't forget to check your balance (just to be on the safe side)

If you have followed EXACTLY what I have said then you can be sure that you have FREE GPRS.

Hi guys and girls,

My friend AlanDS, has said that he is having problems loading https sites, and yahoo messenger.

If you have trouble connecting to messengers and P2P apps
please follow these steps:

(you need to have jre 1.4 or higher to use this software)

For latest version of JRE use the following link (use Flashget)

http://jdl.sun.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=10343

1) After installing JRE , goto http://www.your-freedom.net

2) Register and download the Your Freedom client (they do not spam you ,so don't worry)

3) Install the client and run it. Click next to everything. If it tries to find servers close to you just click cancel since it is not going to find anything

4) You will now see the application window.

5) Under the 'Status' tab click 'Configure'.

6) Fill the following details under 'Server Connection'

Address : ems.your-freedom.de
Port : 443
Protocol : https ( or http ,whichever works for you)

NOTE : The port changes automatically once you change the protocol.

Aso check, Automatically connect on startup, Redirect SOCKS4/5 DNS to Freedom Server, Enable encryption, Enable re-keying.

7) Under 'Account Information' fill in the your account info (what you registered with)

8 ) Under 'Proxy Settings'

Proxy Address : 100.1.200.99
Proxy Port : 8080

9) Click 'Save and exit'

10) Now switch to the 'Ports' tab and check SOCKS4/5 and Webproxy under 'Local Services'.

11) Now switch back to the Status tab and click 'Start Connection'

12) If everything was succesful the CONFIGURE and EXIT buttons will be greyed out. If you switch to the 'Messages' tab you should see something like

Server version: 20060113-01
AUTH_OK: Authentication accepted
starting ports

If you see this you are ready to go

13) Now go to the 'Applications' tab and check the programs that should use Your Freedom and click OK. They will be automatically configured to use the client. (make sure none of them are running when doing this)

14) Minimize the client ( clicking the close button sends it to the tray)
and run your program and they will now, hopefully, connect.

Hope this works for you

Take care guys

If you want to activate AirtelLive! .Just call Customer Care. They will usually activate it within 2 days.

Does your mobile have an option to select "Always Online" and "When Needed" modes?
If so select "Always Online" and see if it helps.

In some PC Connctions, there is Linger time option (connection time-out duration)set it to maximum. where as always-online, when-needed. or temporary, permanent...etc also can be set. all above things sounds the same idea. but if above said thing does not work, the server time-out should be set by calling those C.CARE. use of brain while talking should be there. else stub...ns wont give any cooperation.

You have to configure IE to use the proxy 100.1.200.99 and port 8080

Ok...now I get it.I think you are using 100.001.200.099 as proxy server address.

Change it to 100.1.200.99 in Opera and IE ,you can access https sites.

Try it and see whether it works.

Dear Pradhika,

This method is applicable everywhere. All you need is a wap account and you can get full GPRS using this method on PC.

Or,do you mean free WAP on mobile? (as I notice that all posts of yours have come from a wap device)

Please clarify.

Free wap on mobile...hmmm

I suppose you have heard about the brute force method using AirtelLive(ie.) trying to access a site repeatedly will get you through. But this is time consuming and not very reliable.

But you can try these

Method 1 : Try to change the APN to GPRS APN

Method 2 : This method works in Trichy. All you need to do is use the brute force method once, browse a few minutes, exit the browser, clear the cache of the browser and change the APN to GPRS APN. If you can access the sites immediately after this , you can have permanent FREE GPRS in your area.

What APN are you using? Where are you?

Will try to find if there are OTHER ways
