Connection string can be added automatically using "Nokia Modem Options" in the control panel(if its not there, then u can download it from nokia's website). Or there is no need to have connection string. Just set airtelfun.com in Menu->Tools->Settings->Connection->GPRS->Access Point.
So now I understood the real problem.

AND EXIT.
5)NOW 2 BROWSE NET ON CELL install OPERA LATEST VERSION on cell(that gives a good experience than inbuilt suckin browser)
in opera settings in CONNECTION SELECT- USE DEFAULT
AND IN DEFAULT CONNECTION SELECT--AIRTEL LIVE 1

SO 2 BE FULLPROOF PRESS RED BUTTON FOR 2 SECONDS ON UR 6600 AND THAT "G" SIGNAL WILL GO OFF,
THEN WAIT FOR IT TO COME BACK OR PRESS *123#
WHEN REQUEST WILL GET OVER NORMALLY "G" SIGNAL WILL BE BACK ON UR SCREEN..
IF NOT, Wait 4 few seconds .
10) THEN LOWER RIGHT CORNER OF SCREEN WILL FLASH MESSAGE BLUETOOTH DUN CONNNECTED AT 115KbPS

Hi all, i am not able to connect to the live site thru the phone. Needless to say i am not able to use the trick. Maybe Airtel has locked me out. Any one else with the same problem. Any solutions?

but alan dont u think its easy 2 just add a little string instead of finding and instalin proper softwar "nokia modm options"
and then instalin a nokia6600 bluetuth modem in phone and modem options
& then makin a new cnection "airtel" in network conection window
& even then not able 2 conect like in my case.

hi to all master minds here.I followed ur trick and it worked its gret guys but im having many problems with my connection
problem 1: my yahoo messenger gets connected but it cant enter any chat rooms.when i try to enter any chat roomsit says "connection time took too long"
problem 2:i cant login to my yahoo id it says "WORNG USERNAME OR PASSWORD" whereas i can login when i was in internet cafe.
problem 3:my connetion speed is very low only 695-800 b/sec
Im using nokia 6600.and internet explorer 6 {proxy configured} bluetooth connection. Can u guys please help me.ALANDS i think u was having 6600 first so please help me.
another problem 4: i cant open java applet pages. freeworld4u and alands u guys can u please help me

1) regardin y msgr try 2 use proxy setin nd enter same ip nd port of airtel
if stil a prblm, ask alan as i m also havin prbs somtimes
2) 4 mail yahoo nd also 4 other sites i hav already advised u 2 instal opera
and configure it as on my post on pge 69. U wil get thru.
3)i supose those r 800B than b i.e. 0.8KB/s but they stil r very low.6600 supports around 4-6kBps.
What r ur speds when usin on ur cel ?find out maximum in menu>connect>conction managr>options>details
while dwnldin a file.
then i wil b abl 2 know that problm is in cel/conection/pc ???
which bt dongle r u usin and folowd vich method ?

I have nokia 6600 and a compaq laptop with bluetooth in it.
I have done all settings in my nokia6600 and also opera browser in my laptop.
But while dailing *99***1# or *99***1# it gives me error 692.
Can any one help me.
I am staying hostel in IISc and what net connection in my room.

but presenty i m short f money 2 upgrade.
