Totally agree. The P990 has quite a lot of new significant changes to warrant a new forum.
Also known as sonyclie77 in Esato forums.

Apart of the Stylus idea and the 'wisely chosen' P- letter, there is little resemblance to the 800/900/910! Yeah a new Forum makes perfect sense :-)

imo a kind of se 3g fone forum would be good, but a separate forum for p990 isnt needed. its just one among the others.

In that case, we do already have a 3g umts section...but i guess the P990 might feel odd in there....
T230 >> T610 >> Ngage QD >> N73 >> N85 >> Omnia HD >> And countless other review units

I dont mind where it goes, as long as the re is a place to rant about the problems and to help solve problems. Just lets not start an " I'm better than you because I've got a 990" routine because we all know i'm better than the rest, my 5 year old daughter told me so this morning....

Do the forum owners have a view on this?

Is there likely to be a split, or is it a definite no?

Much different hardware + much different OS + much different GUI = many different problems

I think a P990 forum is a MUST !

Well, I see the answer to my question was posted for some reason in another thread:

http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=115043

For the record, I think it's both illogical and impractical to lump P990 matters in with the P800/P900/P910. The question to my mind is not why can't we have a separate P990 forum, but rather why has the P990 been included in the first place?

More to the point, whatever the forum owners may think of the notion, surely the most important consideration is what we, your forum *visitors*, actually want?

And, as it clear from this thread, what the majority of visitors want is a separate P990 forum.

To disregard that sentiment is, with all due respect, most arrogant.

Seperate forums for the different uiq versions would also fix the problem.

@scormie no need for flaming imo is it such a huge tragedy if a p series fone will be discussed among the other p series fone? way easier to discuss p990 in the 3g fones if it is and paralell it is listed in the p series section aswell. notice: only the p series has got an own topic, No other se. its more then enough.

doesnt matter to me im sure the phone will be too pricey for my pockets...plus new phones dont have much software in the begining so its best for me to wait on that phone. i plan on having my p910a for atleast another 8-12 months then ill see. but you never know its income tax time and i can afford it then. but if its like damn near 1000 i aint touching it 500 is my max on a phone. anyone know retail on it?
