Memory bug for everyone, or for some? |

I have the R1N035 on my k750i. I keep seeing threads/posts about the memory bug. I have yet to encounter any bugs on my memory. Does it depend on what you do for it to be affected? I've transferred alot of mp3's and pictures, but nothing has been corrupted yet.
BTW, I'm still using the original 64mb Sandisk that the phone came with. |

I'm on K750i with 64mb card with no prob's the firmware is old. So I'm guessing it's larger cards and a combination of hardware and drivers. Also heard-seen a firmware update will cure it. |

hi ive been lurking for a bit, got a k750i finally on monday or tuesday, all fine, until today, installed the cable and pc suit. Plug in the phone, shows phone memory with that weird symbol, but no memory card.
I open up the picture slider and it says "memory stick not available"?
Im lost on what to do?
I cant get the latest firmware because the stupid SE site doesnt start the download.....
Think im gunna return this phone..... |

@ t.dooda, the memcard should show up on your computer as an external drive, its drive G on my machine. Try looking in "my computer". |

use the option menu for the camera to save to phone memory whilst attached to USB
settings > save to.
Windows is in charge of Memory Stick so access through Explorer

hello ive had this phone bout a week as soon as i connected it into my pc to transfer some stuff it wont recognize the memory stick anymore.
ive tried the following:
tried my card in a w800i - works fine see's everything
tried a 512mb card in my phone - wont see the contents of it
and my pc can see the contents of my original 64mb card but the phone wont - my question is - is this a firmware prob or hardware prob?
atm im using the standard 64mb card that came with it
the software is:
R1N035
prgCXC125952_EU_1_CL
also if i do a service test on the memory stick it comes back with
"Memory Stick Status: Unmounted"
thanks

@wee_luke
Sounds like you need to format the memory stick to me. If you go to 'file manager' in your phone there's an option under 'more', I think. And your phone won't see the external memory while it's plugged into your PC. |
