1999 was the year i got my 1st gsm phone a nokia 5110 i wus 16 then and just used it to play snake.

I got mine back in 1994, Junior year in HS. An old analog Audiovox. My first GSM phone was a Nokia (:P ya ya ya) 2010, it was free from my provider, had it until I could afford the Ericsson GH688, I never used anything else but Ericsson since then. |

Dont really remember the year, but it was a, erm, Nokia 3110 when it was new in sweden.

1996 i think it was the first sony phone cmd-1000 i think thats what it was called but it was the first phone to have a 10 hour talk time in the world so i am a loyal sony fan. |
