Yesterday while I was talking my battery went out. When I got home I plugged in the charger. Then a white light on the screen came on for 2 sconds before it went black again. I took out the battery and put it in again but same thing happened. Just the white light for 2 seconds then dead. I have left the charger in over night but still no way on turning it on. Completely dead.
I have a k750i that has been flashed to the latest w800 red firmware. I did this a month ago and has been using the phone since. So ITS not something that happened during flashing.
Tried to search the forums here but could not find someone with the same prob. Any help/advice would be appreciated..

Thanks

My friends K750 did the same thing after only two days. Unbranded R1L phone. No matter what I did the screen just whent white for like a second or two and then dead again.

He got it back from the service center saying that nothing was wrong with it. Same phone, same firmware. Has been working for a month now with no problems but it still seems really strange.

Just thought you should know that you're not the only one with the problem...

Thanks for the answer. Just an update on my problem. Went to a shop before work to try another battery. The shopkeeper was not too keen to open a new battery just to try but I said if it works I will buy it. He was convinced that it was a battery problem so he opened and tried. Same thing white screen for 2 seconds and then nothing.
My biggest PROBLEM is that if I go to a Sony Ericson shop they probably gonna make me pay since I flashed it to a W800? Is there a way that they wont notice? I mean since it dont start and I think that the only way to get it working again is with a reflash. Can they reflash without seeing what firmware is inside?

Find someone who has a fully charged battery, and try to reflash the phone!

That should do the trick!

Where did you bought it?
Warranty is valid across the EU, they are obligated to support you under warranty.

Email SE Global complaining if they don't help you... [addsig]

When you say EU you mean europe or European Union? Iam from norway and we are not part of the European Union but cant see this as a problem. A warrenty is a warrenty.
The only problem I can see here is thatI have flashed it with a w800 firmware and they wont use the warrenty since I have flashed.
I dont know anyone here with a k750i phone so I cant charge. my last solution must be to buy a new battery to try and reflash it. Too bad it cost 69 euro for a battery... This sucks

Hi there, i know this is going to sound weird, but have you tried removing the memory stick and turning the handset on?

When i first got my w800, i had real problems with my handset switching off and then just coming up with as you say a white screen, or sometimes the SE logo, but never getting any further. After much investigating and removing/replacing battery, i decided to remove the memory stick and try and start the handset. It started first time, and i just re-inserted the memory stick and haven't had a bit of bother with it since!

just an idea!

Thanks for the idea but no luck here. Still just the white light for 2 sec when I put in the charger...

Another discovery. When I try to turn it on with the charger connected. When the white screen appears for 2 sec also the infrared blinks 2 times before it dies on me again...
As I wrote in a preview post will a new battery have enough power to do a reflash?

Heisan!

Velkommen til Esato forresten! Resten må vi ta på engelsk...

Where do you live in Norway!

There are some servicepoints that can help to revive your phone.

But a fully charged battery, a reflash with the lastest software should do the trick..

Cheers.
