Very fishy: the web address is spelled "wolrd" and the product is listed as in stock even though it's not supposed to be released until Q1 2006.

Quite a professional looking site but definately fake. The site is owned by a guy in Los Angeles and was first registered last week.

What's the deal then? Obviously a scam, but say I decided to buy using VISA credit card, will the company pick up the tab? I'm obviously not gonna do this, just wondering how protected consumers are against fraudsters like this? |

they will take your money, then NOT send you a phone.
so you're screwed, have to go to visa, explain, maybe get your money back.
use common sense ... you know the phone has been announced a few weeks ago, the mobile wrlod domain is spelled wrong, what more hints do you need?
if someone falls for that ... tough luck. you ain't got my pity!
