Hi guys,

just wondering if any of you here use google web accelerator, it speeds up browsing for Broadband users, and works a treat, I'm using it at the moment, and its great!

For more info, and to download, go to:

webaccelerator.google.com

Read up on it, and try to download.

It is limited to the amount of people that use it, so you have to try periodically and then eventually you should be able to download.

Let me know how you get on.

It works for FireFox 1.0+ and IE 5.5+

Pages regularly freeze particularly for those sites that have a good response rate anyway e.g. www.bbc.co.uk

One trick is to hover over a link and it sets the software downloading that content.

Best trick is to upgrade to a 2 meg connection and not let some American company that is getting too big for it's boots collect information about you and cache web pages and content on your hard drive that you'll probably never view

Seriously, I see very little point in a service like this nowadays. Even a 512Mb line is sufficient to load a web page in a reasonable time providing that the server is pretty nippy.
