They say google earth is a threat to national/international security in the sense that anybody can get detailed satellite images of key military/political institutions. IMO google earth may just be the next coolest thing on the net.

Has anyone actually found a secret military installation using Google Earth?
The images are no doubt civilian images, which means they will not be in real time so that troops placements, etc cannot be tracked. Also the resolution of the images is at civilian levels, you will notice that you can only zoom into a certain extent outside of the major cities. Military satellites can read a car number plate and possibly the time on your watch.
