FLASHING F500I to K500i? |

I have an F500i on vodafone. I can't use mp3 files as ringtone. So can it be fixed by flashing it to k500i?
If it can be fixed then tell me how to do this and what things i need to have?

u need a t28 service cable and you need to buy a credit for total multi server. Also it will allow mp3 tones and make the phone generally better. |

But friend yesterday i visit sony ericsson website and i found that one can update his/her phone from that site. But i haven't much computer knowledge. So can you check that and help me?

Aaaah...you want it done free, eh?
BTW, The website will not allow you to de-brand phones, which is like a complete system overwrite. But just may be possible at times with operator branded phones running generic firmware.
F500i to K500i is a de-branding/unlocking exercise, which cant be done through the official website... Its an ahem.... kinda unofficial process

No matter friend that it is official or unofficial. Just tell me any trick to unbrand it free of cost. By the way tell me your mobile number if you don't mind. I'm also from INDIA. You know i'm a PUNJABI. Unbranding phones in PUNJAB cost too much. So make me grate full by telling a trick.

Can i buy credit with my bank account? My account is in UTI BANK. Or can some one other buy credit for me? Because my brother have credit card but he is in BELGIUM.
