Questions about the firmware of my w800i |

Hello, I'm new here from Spain, first of all sorry for my english, I'll try to do it as well as I can.
I've got questions about the firmware of my phone. I've bought a k750i from Holland two months ago. I has the possibility to flash it to w800i including the spanish lenguage that it hasn't when it arrives to me.
Now I'm searching for the new versions of the firms to upgrade my phone ( k750i flashed to w800i ) but I've got the version R1K001... I've read that it's the brown version and that it gives a lot problems...
My question is :
- What is the latest version that includes spanish lenguage for w800i
- And can I upgrade my phone on the official page of SonyEricsson ?
Please pardon me, I know I've got to search before ask but my english is very poor and sometimes is hard to me to understand all your technical explanations.

Firstly I believe that Davinciteam (www.davinciteam.com) has the R1L W800 firmware in all languages.
It can be downloaded using their software client, however you need to pay $10US via paypal for a credit, which will let you flash the phone and then finalise it.
This appears to also be a BROWN firmware, not RED.
BROWN = Developer.
RED = Mainstream consumer.
Having BROWN firmware means you will likely not be able to use SonyEricsson's online updating service (SEUS). You will also need the service cable (not the standard cable that comes with the phone) to do BROWN upgrades, however you probably already have one if you are already running BROWN.
Just so you know, I capitalised brown/red because people seem to constantly be getting confused as to which is which, and the importance of the difference.
Now to wait for a W800 RED firmware to be released for my K750. I have heard rumours that DavinciTeam might have one, can anyone confirm? |

Thank you for your answer, I've got the normal cable, not the one to do the upgrades with the brown version, I've flashed it on a store. So I can download from DeVinci this firm and flash the phone with the normal cable or I need something more? Thank you again. | |
