Hi!
I've just bought an W800 and the phone sometimes crackles when changing tracks. I took it to the reseller who made the phone DOA. Now my exchange phone also crackles. Has anyone else got this problem or is this a feature? |

Seems to be a software fault. The clicking/popping you sometimes get seems to be down to the phone not muting the audio when changing track (which would also work even if the actual problem was hardware based). Hopefully it's easily fixable with a firmware update.
We've got 3 W800s in our office and they all do it.

That happened to me once, when I tried fast rewinding the song for about a minute. Its playback had those clicks and pops all over the song. |

It also happens (sometimes) with my K750 when I start to play tracks that I'd chosen using the joystick and going up/down the list of available tracks, but if I'm already in 'play' mode and skip tracks pressing the joystick to the sides (forward/reverse) I don't get the popping sound.

try to do it without the SEUS. based on my experiences, that SEUS doesen't really work properly, and I'm not saying only the camera and language package thing! go to a sonyericsson service point and have them flash the newest sw into your phone. |

Hi,
I've got my cellphone changed, and the problem persist....???
I tried both w800 and w810, but the pops&clickings are still there.
Why this is not a known issue? So far, 100% of the units tested by myself and by the distributor had this problem... |

I think it's when it switches bitrates. I had a variety of bitrates of mp3s on my W800 and it would crackle when switched between certain songs. Try using the disk2phone and have it converted to one bitrate. |

My K750i has the same problem too. Sometimes it crackles and pops... But you'll get used to it.
Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. I Nokia N95 8GB and N82 |
