I have a K750 red, i converted it to a W800 brown R1K using cruiser.
Today i received from a friend a W800 as a present. So i had to put back the K750 firmware, but the problem is i dont have the cruiser cable anymore.
I took my converted phone ''K750 to W800'', used SEUS, and flashed the K750 on it, dont ask me how it recognized the device as a K750. Even though my computer thought it was a w800 (i had to install the w800drivers too). After it got reflashed via SEUS, turned on my phone i still had the startup walkman logo, themes, games everything exept the icons that have changed to the k750 and the shortcut button back again.
Then i took that half K750/W800, used totalmultiserver, downloaded the K750 firmware. It detected my phone as a red one, and uploaded the firmware to my device using the DCU-60.
Now i have the K750i again, like it use to be when i bought it.

Well, there are three very surprising facts here: 1) SEUS has recognized your phone as a K750 2) You were able to use SEUS with a brown phone. 3) SEUS transformed your phone to red, from brown
Crazy stuff indeed, a very interesting post. Which phone do you like better by the way?

Well, the W800i software is more stylish. But i prefer the K750i because its more class.
I know its very strange dont even ask.dats why i am convinced that you can convert red to brown or brown to red with DCU-60.
I tried to do it with my friendz K750 that had the W800i, it worked too.

1) Seus still reckognize the phone as K750 because CDA/IMEI is not changed
2) Its not a brown phone, its a red phone with a brown w800 firmware
3) It did not transform a brown phone to a red, phone has been red all the time, Seus put the red K750 firmware on it because it still reckognize the phone as a red K750.

Does this mean i could also use totalmultisever to upgrade my red k750i to a brown w800i with DCU-60? sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm a little bit confused.
Thanks

I haven't heard of anyone doing K750>W800 using DCU-60, and their site claims no one has done it yet. It's indeed confusing after having read hragsarkissian's post. |

its not possible to force a brown w800 firmware on a red k750 using the DCU-60, for this type of flashing you will need cruiser or tms cable.
But once the brown w800 firmware is flashed to the k750 using cruiser/tms, and you try to update using SEUS/DCU-60, SEUS disregards the brown w800 firmware on it, and still thinks its a red k750 firmware because the CDA/IMEI suggest to SEUS that it is, hence it goes right on flashing the red k750 firmware on it again.
Since it still is a red phone, SEUS has no problem flashing a red k750 firmware on it using DCU-60, even if the phone has allready been flashed with a brown w800 firmware using cruiser/tms, but to flash a brown firmware on a red phone you do need cruiser/tms.
