Well I rolled back the driver, and got things to actually sync. But after a couple times of that, everything just quit. I'm realizing that my 802.11b is wrecking havoc here. BT just destoys my internet speed. I tried to test the difference but when BT is active, my internet practically STOPS. So I'm going to try disconnecting WiFi and seeing if that fixes my BT issues..

edit: Nope, same BT problems even with no WiFi. Sigh...close to giving up.

TDK USB Bluetooth Adaptor - works like a charm.

Well that's a recommendation, if not a discussion!

the msi 6967 works well for me. and this is probably one of the most popular brand/model here.

it's kinda big compared to more recent models, but i have had no problems with it.

Hmm ok I am having some strange problems

I recently bought a tecom BT3034. Now the disk that came with it includes:

Tecom BT Software ver. 1.2.2.16
Driver: Bluetooth USB Device ver. 1.2.2.15 (Widcomm)

Now when I use this setup I am able to pair just fine (still can't figure out how to send from phone to pc). This doesn't have support for audio and headsets and everything so i uninstalled the software and drivers and all.

I then got the new MSI 1.3.0 BT software and went to go and install as usual. All went well until I went to go and pair my phone. It never could find it. Is this due to me using MSI BT software with a tecom device? or is this a driver issue?

I thought well maybe the driver is screwing it all up so I manually went in and re-installed the drivers off of my disk (the one listed above) and still no go. I then found someone (coMMon I think) who posted some updated drivers for tecom devices. I tried TDK broadcom and other drivers all to no avail. I am now thinking this is a software issue not a driver issue.

Any insight on what I may be doing wrong?

Have a Gigabyte USB BT dongle....Works fine with 1.2.x.x drivers BUT cannot send pics from the T68i to the PC (works fine the other way)...Tried the new drivers 1.3.2.7 (from the Gigabyte site) and i can send pics BUT now i cannot search for any devices (No local Bluetooth device was detected....pairing can only be initiated from the phone...and i cannot find any services in the T68i (No Services available in the phone!!!) I believe this is a 1.3.2.7 driver prob....Anyone got any suggestions/fixes? Can i use any other driver (TDK MSI....)

I had the same problem with my 3com BT<->T68i could send to the phone from Pc but not other way around.
This was caused by the fact that I had made the computer search for the phone and phone accepted the device.
When I paired them the other way around phone searched for BT device and PC accepted it then it worked both ways.

i use an msi-6967 adapter (with the widcomm drivers) too. i can send/receive files to/from the phone. the only trouble i had with it was when i tried sending a 2 minute amr file to the PC - it just won't send. i tried sending other objects, it worked fine.

tried it with IrDA, worked ok too. i haven't find out what caused the problem or how to resolve it.
