I think the sonic cradle looks better too. Matches the phone better and doesn't use any power.

On paper I'd guess the speaker system is better, since its a speaker (its actually quite a good sounding speaker system at that, I have one). But a couple of cravets.

1) Its not designed for the W800i. It won't really sit properly in the stand normally. It kinda works if you "lean" it back but or wedge a peice of foam but its nor a perfect fit.

2) To use it, you'll need a stereo adaptor cable to work, which plugs into the bottom of the phone. Use this, and it won't stand up at all. I've just tried it with a friends K750i, and it wobbles, you can sort of lean it back, but it looks kinda rubbishy.

The sonic cradle looks much better, an since it has connectors for charging, etc, etc. and it sits on your desk better. I'm looking at one in front of me (well on the desk next to me technically). Its a noisy office so can't really test the sound, but I'll have a play on Tuesday when I'm back into work (I'm off for the weekend! yay!). But the inside feels a bit "funny". The outer edge of the inside has a textured/rough feel, while the inside bits (most of the dome bit) feel smooth. It got some pictures on the back of the box with some music comming out.

If you really want the best solution, then its one of these.

CDS-60, with some nice speakers. This is pretty much the ultimate setup if you ask me.

that is some bit of kit i love that, just a little too pricey for me. so i think i may get the sonic cradle it looks good and would be good on my bedside cabinet and could use the radio for alarm.

another quick question, the wires that connect the phone to a stereo
would these work with a car stereo

Well, so long as you can get a 3.5mm input then I guess so. Perhaps one of those tape adaptor things would be a better idea?
