I don't know if anyone has such problem. I went to SE site and did SEUS and everything was fine. I had on my desk unlocked unbranded phone. Finished updating, turned off my phone, switched it on and got Vodafone icons??? Phone is not locked but have that ugly Vodafone icons. How is that possible?

Are you saying that you started out with an unbranded, unlocked phone and after the update it was suddenly Vodafone branded ?

Sounds very strange.

1. Did you buy the phone from Vodafone ?
2. Did you buy the phone from someone else ?

For SEUS to brand it, it must originally have been a Vodafone model.

Either:

1. You got the phone from Vodafone before they branded it, but the CDA/CID of the phone informs SEUS that its a Vodafone, and put the branded Vodafone firmware on it.

2. You got the phone from someone else, who debranded the phone using davinci, but the CDA/CID of the phone still makes SEUS put the branded Vodafone firmware on it.

alex2751, I feel for ya mate!! I've hated vodafone branding with a passion ever since they decided that T610 users didn't need the 25% of the phones 2MB memory that was taken up with undeletable vodafone content!

I'd say numb's right about the cda.

I got phone from my country operater, it's not a Vodafone but though Vodafone bought them. Still my K750 at the start was unbranded and has nice icons. After SEUS icons got Vodafone though I can still use T-Mobile SIM card in it. It seem just icons got mixed. Weird

I think the best thing to do is get 1 Credit from Davinci and flash it back to updated firmware R1L002 with your DCU-60 cable and that should solve your problem. It cost £7 for 1 Credit
.
Good Luck ...

otherwise you'd need to change the cda, which I suppose you'd have to do through davinci anyway.

But then you'd be able to update through SEUS free when update comes available, without getting the vodafone ghost haunting your phone again

Yeah, you should do that.

Very rude to sell you an unbranded phone that turns into a branded phone when you update!
