haven't actually seen it available anywhere yet but I have a K750 and a W800 and so use the one that came with the W800.

The headphone part is crap and produces quite tinny/metalic sounds and seems to reduce the volume quite a bit because I'm now using the part that connects to the phone up to the microphone/switch part and have plugged in my Sony headset and its a vast improvement.

So I suggest when you can find the HPM-70 actually available, get it for use with the K750 but use your own headphones

or.. just get the following from mobilefun or ebay

I have this too and it works quite well

I didn't bother with the SE stereo audio adapter as I didn't want to be fiddling behind my amplifier every time I wanted to connect the phone.

So I did the same as masseur and bought the 3.5mm jack adapter, you can easily pick them up from eBay.

yeah the one from mobilefun is the one i am interested in as its in the UK.

i have some decent sony headphones from my mp3 player and would use them with this adapter.

just wanted to know how good this adapter was with ones own headphones rather than the provided headset.

thanks,

It should do.

Someone who owns one will have to confirm this, but i dont see why not. The 2.5mm-3.5mm adaptor that comes with the Nokia N-gage still allows you to pick up FM, and it even works on my other 2.5mm jack radio devices.

I dont see why SE would be any different.

Im still waiting for the HPM-70 to be released to buy seperately..

I dont trust MobileFun anymore, they've just screwed me out of £110 (so be careful when ordering from them).

Ordered a P900 screen from them on July 18th.

It came, but it was faulty. Sent it back that week.

4 weeks later they still havent sent me a replacement, everytime i call them they say it'll be with my any day now (it never arrives), and when i called the other day for a refund they cut me off, i had to call back (waiting a further 15 minutes in a queue), for them to tell me they'd refund the money.

Nearly a week later they still havent refunded me. Come Monday if the funds arent refunded to my account i'll be contacting my solicitor.

----back to topic----

I was going to order a HPM-70 from them when they get them in stock, but now they've no chance. I'll buy mine direct from SE even if it costs me more. Im not too bothered about the headphones, its just the official SE 3.5mm jack convertor section i want.

I've just got the adapter. However I think it sounds quieter than original handsfree earphones. I've tryed it only with Senheiser PX100 headphones, maybe in-ear earphones would be better I don't know.

Creative Muvo sounds far far clearer and louder than K750 with the same PX. Thinking of MDR-70. Plus with the adapter you need to disconnect it when someone calls you because microphone does not work with it.

hi SoEricy,

sounds quieter ?

so its not worth buying?

i am ok with the stock headphones but wanted to use my own for 'louder' and better sound.

thanks,

Hey,

Ive had this phone for a while now and its the best phone ive had since T68i.
The only thing is the headphones which come equipped with the phone arent the
best and i was wondering if u have any plans to release an adapter to enable the
use of the sony ear plugs i bought. (Sony MDR-EX71SLB Fontopia Headphones -
Black) . These are excellant and produce excellant quality sound and would
really finish off the k750i. So if u could let me know when you plan on
releasing an adapter that would be helpfull.

that sony reply is about as useful as the one i got a month ago

i emailed to ask them when the hpm70 was due for release and they basically said the same thing "call the eshop"!
i replied asking them why give the choice for info to email or phone if the email response tells you to phone... grrrr!

anyway the upshot was i got a second email (after my sh1tty response) to say that they hadnt decided yet when to release them for sale separately - which as far as i know is still the current situation.

i therefore decided to buy the 3rd party adaptor so i could use my fontopias - tough luck sony, another potential sale lost
