If you like the K750 you should keep it until the W800 gets cheaper. I'm sure it will in about 2 months. And in the meantime you have the K750 to keep you company

If I were in the same position as you, Id go for the W800 rather than doing the total conversion of your K750 to w800. Besides the things you mentioned you should also get the W800 headphones which is another cost. And there are all kinds of things that can go bad in the total conversion, and you would still not have a genuine w800 but a converted K750 possibly with problems using SEUS to update in the future because of the softwareflash.

But if you DID like a mixture of the housing colours or the K750 look then go for the softwarw change. I did and its just that extra bit it was missing with flight mode and all. I personally dont like the W80 themes though so i still use the K750 "Tiles" theme. My W800 housing is on its way to me, but im not going for the full convert (its just a W800 then, nothing personal) im going for a mixture. I'll post pics when im done.

yep I've also thought about that. I might go for this option, if i can get the earphones for a cheap price. Having a large memory card doesnt really bother me too much .... |

k750 design is much better than w800 especialy the back side..... but the w800 bested the k750 in such a way that it is walkmanphone with 512 mb free inthe package |

I'd stick with my k750 for it's looks. both k750 & w800 have same hardware. may be SE may release a f/w for k750 having same options that w800 have (better media player).
if you love orange color, install w800 default theme. that's what i'm using now.

i would go for the W800, it would save you alot of work. and if something should happen to it. the repair center would see that its a real one and not a K750.
i find the back of the K750 better, but the back of the W800 is great aswell.
buttons are better on the W800.

I was in the same position, but decided to buy the w800i. I gave back my k750i and bought the w800i instead. Yes, it's a lot of money for those extra's, but hey, if you don't do it, you keep on thinking and doubting and you'll regret it if you don't buy it. the extra money is in fact the extra cost you have to pay for a 512MB card + those advanced headsets.
I don't regret that I took the w800i. The design of the phone makes it up. The case is also much better then the k750i. It doesn't feel as cheap as the k750i I think.
Just think: you loose some money, but if you never give away your money, it will go mouldy and spending money isn't that horrible, maybe you would spend that money in buying cigarettes and beer if you wouldn't buy that w800i huh

I think that they are both fantastic handsets, for 1 reason or another, each user has to decide what's better. If you already own a 750 then I don't see the need to spend more money (unless you are loaded of course); just transform it into a w800 (the quality of the headset is certainly better, but that much?).
The real hangup for me is the (much needed) different interface. I suppose sooner or later... |

If you like cream and orange color, then buy the 800i
If you like silver or black then get the K750i
They're both exellent phone...
If you got one of these phone, you can download the disk2phone from SE official website. Very good tool for transferring music from pc to phone, just drag and drop and it's done. |
