k750i to W800i |

I would say you wouldn't use the same details to update to w800i. I did the same as you and updated my CDA to what you have. SEUS works fine and will update to the lastest k750 firmware..Like my question states, if you used the k750 CDA for w800 firmware, I think possibly SEUS would re-flash to k750 EU2 firmware..I am wondering if we need a CDA for w800 so that in future SEUS would update to the latest w800 firmware.
Thanks |

Hi, I downloaded the file from the URL you posted and I tried to flash my K750i. It says the file is corrupted and the flashing failed. |

@BUFFBOYS
The W800i firmware is not avaliable at Davinci yet... You will have to wait until the firmware come out so you can flash the CDA so SEUS will reconize it as a W800 and not a K750. The said W800i firmware should be soon.... |

A word of advice in regards the Davinci page:
I used the davinci software to flash my phone. Originally it had the chinese T9/menus, as well as English and some other asian languages.
After I used the "america2" flash file I got the Spanish (XL) t9/menus as well as the portuguese, (PB) the chinese for some weird reason wasn't deleted.
And I still have the english (AE) menus, but NOT the t9 in English!!!
So be careful if you use this service make sure you select the appropiate languages pack and also, you have to pay 10 euros IN ADVANCE to use it; if you don't, the davinci software will still flash your phone but in the 'finalization' phase when it tries to check your password (given to you by davinci AFTER you pay) if you don't have a valid name/password it will give you an error message on the pc and your cell phone WON'T turn on!!!!!! Beware of this!!!

Yeah I did flash my phone with DaVinci and now it's a pretty paperweight. I didn't know I needed credits for that. Besides I didn't use their firmware. I downloaded it somewhere.
I'm taking my phone to people who unlock phones and get it flashed with W800i firmware. They're doing it here now for $25. Pricey. |

The optus branding is part of the operator customisation file, which is not touched by SEUS, from what I understand.
That's why peeps go to Davinci to debrand.... SEUS don't let you change branding, but nor can they supply branding...
That's why when one updates with SEUS, branding remains unchanged. In some instances, it detects firmware (NOT the customisation, that is a different part of the phone) that doesn't allow updating, for example early Vodafone versions of firmware had features that would be lost if the firmware was updated with non-vodafone firmware - vodafone didn't like that
The customisation file (which contains the branding) is quite separate from the firmware. |
