New phone was announced today the W550i:

Basically it is the triband 900/1800/1900 version of W600a without edge. But the most important it that the W600a converted to W600i that is QUAD band 850/900/1800/1900 edge. I think that is great, although with that conversion I don't really understand the existance of W550i. Maybe it is going to be a little cheaper.
It also looks that the S600 was cancelled after that announcement. So to sum up the S600 was replaced by the W550i and the W600a was replaced by the W600i

The specs are same as w600i, whats new?. And there is no memory slot rather than internal 256mb..

W550 looks exactly the same as W600. Only difference is that W550 only is a triband phone with no edge as has already been mentioned.

i can only find the w550 on se site now, what are the chances they have ditched the w600 and are only going for the w550.
perhaps bringing out the w600 later with edge and MSDP.
