I don't know if you know that already, but according to G900 white paper, it has 802.11 b/g (54 Mbit/s). So mostly probable G702 and of course Pnext will have it also!
Unofficial SonyEricssonClub.plT10 -> T65 -> T310 -> T610 -> T630 -> K700 -> P910 -> P990 -> P1i -> Xperia X1 + C702 -> Xperia X10 mini + Xperia X10!!! What can I say... I'm maniac!! |

Why not have the G900 with GPS in the first place, why have the G902 if it is going to be the same? Same goes for Beibei, add GPS to the G700 and maybe the scroll wheel so that it look different to the G900. Now that we believe that a G902 is around, who will buy the G900; people are likely to wait for that. |

dont you think the stylus position is rather strange....for example if you have the phone in your pocket...and you quickly pull it out...you might just break the stylus....

Stating THAT without knowledge of what else SE is offering is ALSO ignorant. Without being able to properly brand and fix bugs, yes BUGS on the K850i AT&T Pulled it at the VERY LAST moment, stock was already READY to be shipped to stores, store channels already had print & billboard adds in house, then an EMERGENCY add pulled it.
offerings suited for North & South America ...
* SE K850i (only subsidy is in Canada; retail though is offered)
* SE W580i (retail or branded - BEST seller to date for ANY carrier or model by SE for this region, EVER)
* SE W350 has yet to get awarded subsidy.
* SE W760i STILL has yet to ship ... SE is LATE on this!
* SE Z750i old but STILL relevant, Triband 3G, A2 platform, decent cam for average call Id shots. Great MODEM speeds!

Oh Prom...
apparently you are not in the know with american users otherwise you would have fully understood the comment as my other fellow americans did.
The fact is the vast majority of american users are ignorant of actual GSM phone offerings. The only phones people know about here, are the ones that are offered by carriers. If it's not offered by a carrier, it doesn't exist. In addition, sadly, the phones carriers have are usually a year or two behind the rest of the world and this is the case undoubtedly due to taxes and regulations which slow the process.
So, do not insult me because you didn't "get" my comment as my other fellow americans apparently did.
EDIT:
In addition, some of the models you listed are not on any carrier. Some of the models you listed do not support the american 850 GSM band, which already LIMITS it's ability to receive a proper signal. True that T-mobile in the US uses european bands, but it's also true that T-mobile is known to have the worst signals out of all the carriers.

Woah Woah there horsie, back it up. . .
Had to jump in here. Yeah I'm Stateside and well yes you're right, typical American non-fanboy mobile user. Oh I forgot ignorant. Its true regular mobile users here don't know much about anything when it comes to mobiles, why do you think I hang around this "bloody" forum with all the Brits.
Maybe this is why manufacturers ignore our market over here. Especially SE. Go MAN U! Fan here, left work early to watch the match.
As for the thread, I'll check back in a weeks time since SE lag it up big time with releases and announcements.

It's strange, but Sony Ericsson replace some phones at the corporate site. For example, W760.

Today:

Because the G700 and G900 are aimed at the cheaper market, UIQ 3.3 may cost more, look at what they've ditched on the G702 and I bet it's still more or the same as the G700. I also specifically DON'T want GPS built in, I got a little bluetooth GPS unit as a Christmas pressy a couple of years ago, it works fantastic with Tom Tom, and I would much rather use GPS this way with Tom Tom. That's another reason I don't like Nokia, yes it's great they include GPS but it doesn't work with Tom Tom so is a waste of money to me. For this reason I still believe there is a market for non GPS phones, and I know that next year more then likely EVERY phone will have it anyway. |

W760 at the Sony Ericsson Support page.
If W760 available at the support page, it means, that release of it will be soon - next Monday (26th of May).
