:-hey guys you know what...  i was looking at other phones with similar specs and found Motorola Zn5 and looked at the pictures produced...man..  in some cases they seem to be even better than c901 but then the phone is total crap  |

Yes, only ZN5 is the real rival of C901.
Sometimes it`s better,sometimes is not...
Overall - their cameras are with equal quality!
...and Moto is cheaper...

LOL thats wierd, last night i was thinking the exact same as you, i was researching the ZN5, but i agree with you that the phone looks crap and its also a motorola which gives me the impression that its a bit tacky
The back looks quite good on the ZN5
I dont like the front design, it looks very thick too 
looks classier imo

I just hope that SonyEricsson is going to release a firmware update before Christmas. I like to make photos at partys, and spontaneuos moments, and for that this phone would be perfect. I know that it's possible to get well-focused pictures, but in some situations it's not that easy. So sometimes this focusing problem really annoys me. When you want to take a picture in a party is really unpleasant that you have to take 3 pictures to get one well-focused. Then you won't need smile shutter, because you can snap only some bored faces.
Please who experienced this problem with focusing, report it to SonyEricsson and ask if a software update can be expected soon!
By the way I really like this phone, but I want it to work percfectly, or at least as I expect to work. |

I'm going to apologise for a previous post I made saying that the C901's pics are fine. I've just loaded all mine to my PS3 to view on my HD tv and was very suprised how different they were compared to seeing them on my laptop. The pics were overexposed with lots of white burn, very noisy even in daylight, blurry and out of focus in parts and in focus on other parts of the same pic. I've gone back to using my C905 as backup to my P1i until they decide to sort things out. Shame as everything else about the phone is great.

Flash is about the same as the K800 and K850 imo.

I just bought c901 now off ebay for £145  No more waiting, but fingers crossed now
