Man, well i just wanted to join in and say ...as of Today im the proud owner of a P1i. After the p990 i chucked out the window i looked around for 2 weeks hoping to find the next big thing. And sadly/luckily enough i ve landed me a P1i for 370 euros including a 4gig memorycard.
Although i swore never to buy SE smartphones... i gave in and got this puppy!

This thread is megalong. Sorry if this has been answered already. Can anyone share the list of apps that are on the promotion list when you buy P1i. I mean the promo where they add a redemption code for 10 points for uiq3 apps.
Best regards, PH

Good luck mate, hope it works out for you. I take it your FW is generic? |

yes it is, and it come with latest firmware...so far not a single restart or freeze (2 days)
what i am loving - form factor, build quality, looks, materials, screen, some new OS stuff (like the today screen), all the RAM available, and yes, even the keyboard - i already type faster than with P990 qwerty
what i donīt like - stylus placing...p990īs was far better; lack of lock/unlock button like the P990; canīt fast forward music files with keyboard like on the P990 (with the onboard music player); MMR-60 fm transmitter does not work, and it should (P1 is compatible with it, according to SE);
Overall, this is a great improvement over the P990...however, i think P990 users only should buy it if they get a good deal for the exchange, it does not deserve full price payment, specially because the P3i will be in a totally new level of tech power

Yeah, the form factor of the P1i is very good.
Turns out the one I had was CDA /67 which is not generic. I was a bit pissed off about that because I was lead to believe that Expansys supplied generic phones. Maybe some of the problems I had were specifically related to that CDA.
Let us know how you get on, and if you get any of the bugs that are there for some users.
I'm still thinking about the iphone, the E90 is off the menu now because it's a bit of a mare. Ah well ..... |

have you read mobile-review articles on the iphone??? man, its not comparable, its not a smartphone...it has even more limitations than a P1 IMO...not an option
my CDA is 162022/1 (WG 1)
i personally think you should give another go on the P1, because not like the P990, the vast majority of opinions from users, right now, is extremely positive, and your case seems to be really marginal

Me too ares my mate as of yesterday.
The improvement is really great, much more then p910-p900.
Very fast, multitasking superb, screen really visible on the direct sunlight, battery much better, camera quite nice and handy (positivelly suprised), qwerty (qwertz in my case) easy to use especially with one hand, form factor absolutelly fantastic, more internal memory, wifi extremely reliable and stable (didnt expected), opera faster, TrackID something I needed very much, music volume specialy via hbh ds970 so good.
The only thing i liked more in P990 was the screen size but other improvements nicely compesate it.
must say sooo haapppy |

You are joking, right .... I had the P1i and DS970 (two of them) and it was abyzmally low.
Really, it was about half of the P910i volume. Honestly!
